Biography

Mojisola Meranda is a Lagos State politician who made history by becoming the first woman to serve as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly. She represents Kosofe Constituency I and is a legal practitioner and APC member. She was elected Speaker in early 2024 after the previous speaker Mudashiru Obasa was removed. Her election as Speaker was seen as a significant milestone for gender representation in Lagos State governance.
