📖 Biography

Siminalayi Fubara is the Governor of Rivers State having won the 2023 governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party with 338,495 votes. He is a chartered accountant and was previously the Accountant General of Rivers State from 2019. His emergence as governor was initially backed by his predecessor Nyesom Wike, though the two subsequently had a highly publicised political falling out that escalated into a major constitutional crisis involving the Rivers State House of Assembly.
